Winter Wonderland

Transfer to your heated houseboat on Dal Lake. The city glows under a winter blanket — settle in with a warm Kashmiri kehwa as the lake grows still in the early dark.

A gentle day in the city — the Mughal gardens dusted with snow, the old city lanes, and a late-afternoon Shikara ride if the weather allows.

The highlight of the trip. Ride the gondola up Apharwat (weather permitting), walk the snow-filled meadows and, for thrill-seekers, try skiing, sledging or snow-scooter rides. Return to Srinagar in the evening.

A scenic winter drive past frozen paddy fields and saffron meadows to Pahalgam. The Lidder river runs jewel-toned between snow banks. Overnight in Pahalgam.

Morning walk along the Lidder and a short drive toward Aru Valley or Betaab Valley if roads are open. Mid-afternoon drive back to Srinagar for a final evening by the lake.

Breakfast, checkout, and a transfer to Srinagar airport or railway station. Until the next snowfall.
